Charas is probably the rarest of all types of hashish, due to the difficulty of producing it: it is made through the extraction of cannabis resin. Originally from India, it is traditionally obtained by hand peeling the lower part of the cannabis flower while the plant is still fresh. What remains on the skin, that is, the resin, must then be scraped off and collected in balls. This process gives Charas an aroma much closer to that of cannabis.
